Resin Tip 001 | PPE

PPE!
Personal Protective Equipment. Personal Protective Equipment. Personal Protective Equipment. I cannot say it enough. Any resin project should be done with at least gloves and a respirator. In addition I like to wear goggles since I have had chemical burns from resin on my eyes nose and mouth before in the past. When resin parts mix there is a chemical reaction, the fumes are toxic. No matter the type of resin it is in your best interest to be in a well ventilated area and protected from breathing in the resin. If particles are inhaled they could cure inside an be extremely harmful, especially after prolonged use. Resin is also corrosive and harmful to your skin, not only that it is sticky and hard to get off. Gloves are essential. With an increase in popularity of this craft it is so important to be sure you do research and have the right protection before beginning. Better to be safe then sorry!
